Boldly Going Where Others Have Boldly Gone Before!

Everyone has heard of the Captain James Q. Yurk of the USS Endeavor, pride of the Federated Planets Spacefleet. However, no one has ever heard of you. Why? Well, every ship in the fleet has three watches: Alpha, Beta, and Gamma.

Alpha Watch is ruled by the Captain and his Sporkan First Officer. Beta Watch is commanded by the ambitious Watch Commander and his Tingalong 2nd Officer.

And then there’s Gamma Watch, your domain. From 0000 hours to 0800 hours you run the ship while Alpha Watch sleeps and Beta Watch winds down after a long 8 hour shift… For the most part.

Sometimes the First Officer wanders in to see what’s happening, or he spends time in the ship’s labs. And the German Chief Engineer is fond of working on his kinder at all hours, making sure that everything is fully operational. But during your watch, it’s your ship, so take care of it, if you can!

The cards include rules to play and there are a total of 88 cards in the deck. The PDF version also includes rules to play as well.

To play this game, you need a copy of Fate Accelerated Edition, available from Evil Hat Productions.

So what does that error mean for those of us who already ordered the POD?

If you've already gotten confirmation that it's gone to print and shipped, then let me know when they arrive. If it hasn't gone to print, it won't until I approve the new version from the galley proofs. That will take a bit, as they do their print runs in batches. And my galley proof hasn't gone to print yet.

I fully apologize for the mixup and the delay in getting you the cards.

Received my POD cards today and quickly looking them over the only minor issue that was easily detectable (to me anyway) was that the "title" on the Crew Cards was a little blurry. Is there something more specific that I should be looking for? Thank you for your prompt reply.

There was a typo on one of the sets of situation cards. It's on all 20 cards. Don't post what it is here, but if you read the backs out loud, you'll see it. As for the blurry appearance of the word Crew, I don't see it on my proof cards. However, that doesn't eliminate an error during the print run. If you think that there was a printing error that resulted in blurry text, contact DriveThruRPG and they may be able to reprint the cards.

I see it now. I'm good with the cards I have and don't need replacements. Looking forward to giving these a spin. Thank you again for your prompt responses.

Sorry about the typo. Fred Hicks had to point it out to me. :-)
Enjoy the game! I'm working on another, pirate based one! Yarr!

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.

Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
