The Bottoms Up Tavern is a 20 x 16-inch tavern battlemap that was originally designed for use with the Saga of the Goblin Horde Plot Point Campaign, "Episode Two: Tavern Crawl."

Once the adventurers have been dealt with, the goblin bosses are tasked with addressing the source of the problem: the frontier town where the humans came from. Adventurers always love to kick back and relax between massacres, squandering their stolen loot on fermented drinks. But how are they going to do that if all the taverns have been destroyed?

In Saga of the Goblin Horde, players take on the role of brutal goblinoid bosses, leading their gangs on a series of insane missions in an escalating war against the humans. Even if you don't run it you should check out Saga of the Goblin Horde. It's free

This map can, of course, be used for any tavern encounter. Let me know how you use it.

Let me know how it gets used at your table whether its physical or virtual.

The digital version includes 300dpi and 72dpi versions of the Bottoms Up Tavern Battlemap without and with grids, a layered customizable PDF, and a Print & Paste tile version PDF.

The Card version contains twelve, double-sided 8”x10”  card tiles printed on sturdy 270gsm C2S card stock. Tiles are finished with a low-gloss UV coating on both sides and square-cut corners keeping them spill resistant, you can also peel transparent tape on and off them without damaging the tile, and you can mark the tiles with dry erase markers and wipe them clean. The card version has the square grid overlay on one side of the shoreline cards and the no grid overlay on the other side.

A percentage of all proceeds from this title goes to the Phoenix Children's Hospital Foundation!

Hello James,

I'm sorry for any confusion. I have a pretty busy weekend, but I will look into all of this by Monday afternoon. I will certainly fix any lack of maps and I like the idea of a bundle!

Thanks for your support and feedback,

Frank T

Thank you for the quick response! I almost missed it because you made a new comment instead of replying to my comment.

No rush. Note that I posted two more comments on two of your other maps. Sorry to be a bother, I just want to make sure that I'm not missing anything. :)

No worries. I want to make sure you're getting what I promise. For some of the past projects that I formatted for POD I often forgot to make sure things like the VTT versions made it into the zip file. It's good when someone holds me accountable. Everyone wins.

Excellent! Honestly, I was expecting to find the lower res versions in the public posts on your Patreon. Since I haven't located them on the SotGH website or in the module books, I'm not at all sure if they exist, yet. I'm actually in contact with Richard at SotGH about a different SotGH asset that is missing. If you like, I can mention these maps to him as well.

You might post a public update on your Patreon linking the low res versions so that other people can find them there. Surely other people will be looking for them over time.

As for myself, If you're going to take the time to put together a complete bundle here, I'll be more than happy to wait and just get the complete bundle.

Again kindly look for my comments on the Fountain Square and the Tunnels of Frost Fang DTRPG pages. I've been scratching my head at those as well. ;)

FYI, I intend to run a VTT campaign for SotGH, so if you've got any unfinished maps or alt maps you could suggest that wouldn't...See more

Greetings! I've been scratching my head at this mess for about 3 hours, trying to figure this out. I can't find the low res versions of the Bottoms Up Tavern, the Cavern, or Strange Fruit.. anywhere. There's a really tiny version of the Cavern in the book, but not the other two. I can't find links to any of them on the SotGH website (blog). I can't even find them on your Patreon. I can see where you said you were starting work on Bottoms Up and Strange Fruit. I even saw the post where you were making walls for Bottoms Up (?). However, I don't see the 'Free Map Friday' posts for any of them. Could you check and see if they got tagged as one of the support tiers or something? I'm honestly at a loss. Thanks for any help!

Also: Why don't you have a bundle JUST for the SofGH maps? Speaking of which, do you have a list of which ones you made for the series? I think that you are the ONLY one making maps for it, so I want to make sure that I don't miss any. :)

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.

Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
