I ran this today for a few friends. We didn't finish yet, but so far this is one of our favorite Fate worlds to date :) It has just the right amount of whimsy mixed with a serious undertones that lead to great role playing. The players played a good mix of people returning to Nest. One, who used to command wind in Nest to do acrobatic stunts and toss weapons had leveraged the skills he developed into Pro Basketball. His life was happy, and all he wanted to do upon waking up in Nest again was get home as fast as he could. He had almost forgotten where his powers came from, and had no desire to risk them in battle. Another one was never quite able to live up to his heroic childhood. Nest had been an escape for him as a child, and when he stopped going there, and started living in reality, it slowly wore him down. From being The Twin Bladed Swordsman, he was now a bridge toll collector ("My Life is Going Nowhere and It's All My Fault") struggling with alchoholism ("The Bottle Beckons") as he tries to cling to what he used to be ("I used to be someone"). For him, the return to Nest was the greatest thing to happen to him in years, and the chance to make a difference and save people drove him to throw himself into reckless situations headfirst driven by his desire to matter again. The last had been a bit skeptical, having a pretty decent, if boring, life as an engineer. He had mostly put Nest behind him, except the Kingdom of Bungledyne was still occasionally remembered fondly. He was the most careful of the group, as he was somewhat of a mixed figure when he was a Hero as a kid, since when things went wrong he was usually the one left holding the bag ("Wrong Place, Wrong Time")

The world is rich with a variety of settings, the given adventure is fun and allows for a lot of different ways to run it, though flexible enough to allow for more adventures and exploration as you develop the world out with stories provided by your player's memories, twisted slightly by the darkness of The Enemy. The multiple choices for who The Enemy is were also a wonderful decision. You can change it from a sad fight against the Tyrant as you learn her motivation to a desperate fight against the alien Invader who has her sights set on earth. All in all, bravo Evil Hat. You did a wonderful job <3
