Before the fall, the Northwestern region of the United States and Lower Canada was one of the most breathtaking areas on the planet, loved by all who lived amidst the blanket of old growth forests, rivers and mountains. Now the area, known by those who have been there as ?The Lost Paradise,? is a poignant reminder of just how much man has lost. The land is more than just ruins and blasted, radiated stretches of land, however. Pureblood human and Mutant alike struggle for survival, eking out a fragile existence in a region rife with dangers ranging from wild beasts, racists and other ideologically intolerant peoples, to inhuman beings bent on the destruction of all who stand in their way.

The Lost Paradise is an excellent sourcebook for players who are new to the Post Apocalyptic game setting and also serves well for advanced players looking to start a new Post Apocalyptic campaign, or just more areas to take their existing characters.

I've always been a sucker for detailed campaign settings and this is one definitely no disappointment. I really, really like this company's attention to detail. This book (and its companion) give Gamma World a reason to be worried. A must-have for [...]

I really enjoyed this product. I think it adds a great deal of depth to the Twisted Earth setting by giving players and GMs a chance to play in an environment that is not so incredibly hostile. [...]

Second in my opinion, only to "the Foundationalists"; this supplement fits in well w/ the current and extrapolated "future" of the region. I am impressed at how the followers of Jahova (sp.)are represented and also viewed by the lo [...]

I bought this PDF shortly after getting the DW2 hardcover, thinking this would be a good setting to play in. I was wrong. The Lost Paradise is one of the best settings, if not the best RPG setting I have ever seen. The level of detail is excelle [...]

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.

Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
