Fantasy Furniture - Props and Object Tokens

This token pack aims to give Game Masters access to a standard range of furniture, Props, and Objects that can be used to flesh out a wide range of fantasy settings, such as a tavern, medieval house, wizard tower, or even a dark dungeon. This is our very first virtual tabletop token package that aims to give the Game Master access to furniture tokens both for use as tokens during a game for moveable furniture, or as images to use during adventure map building. These objects are provided as PNG image files that can be imported into App such as FoundryVTT, Roll20, or d20Pro.

What is a Virtual Tabletop Token?

Roman soldier standing on a map grid squareWhen playing a roleplaying game (such as Dungeons & Dragons, or Pathfinder) online via a virtual tabletop application (such as FoundryVTT, or Roll20) you will often need to use a token to represent your character on the virtual tabletop. These tokens can represent your own character or the monsters and NPCs controlled by the Game Master. Most virtual tabletop applications permit the use of imported graphics files (such as GIF, JPG, PNG, and WEBP) as tokens to represent characters, NPCs, and monsters. Thus you can use the PNG image files from this package as virtual tabletop character tokens by importing the image files into the virtual tabletop app of your choice.

  • Token & Map Scale: Tokens and adventure maps from Studio WyldFurr make use of a 3:1 scale which is the same scale we use for our Map Tiles art assets. This scale matches three on-screen pixels to each real-world inch, giving us a map grid square of 180 pixels.
  • Compatibility: The Fantasy Furniture Tokens Pack consists of a collection of image files (.png) that can be imported into almost any virtual tabletop app for use as PC or NPC game tokens and encounter maps. These tokens and encounter maps are for use in apps such as FoundryVTT, Roll20, d20Pro, etc. Check your application's documentation about importing images for use as tokens or encounter maps.

“Hello there! I created this pack of elements that can be used as either virtual tabletop furniture tokens for use during roleplaying games, or as art assets for adding furniture to adventure maps during map creation.”

Object Token Set

Each object token set (also called a character set for character tokens) contains the object rendered from an offset top-down view with the object turned 45 degrees between each render. Some sets do not have each angle rendered because the object looks the same regardless of which side has been rendered. Character sets are rendered differently from object sets, being that the character is rendered in a variety of action poses, instead of being turned around between each rendering.

Isometric Tokens

Each token set depicts an object from a slightly offset top-down perspective - this is done to create the appearance of “depth and detail” for the object/character. To complement this, some sets include what we call an “isometric” token that was rendered from a top-down view, without any offset.

In looking over the samples the items you are referring to as "isometric" would be better described as "orthographic". Isometric drawings, similar to perspective drawings, give the illusion of 3 dimensions. Orthographic drawings are pointedly 2 dimensional.

What's the licensing on these? Can we use them in our maps or modules for resale?

The tokens are for personal use. But you can apply to License them for use in your own map products via the Studio Wyldfurr web site.

Hi, how are you? I wanted to say that I bought this pack some minutes ago, but I'm trying to activate it in Fantasy Grounds, but it doesn't appear. I tried everything. Can you please help me to do it? Thanks in advance

Download the Fantasy Furniture Tokens Fantasy Grounds Module (it is a file titled: wyld-fftp-fg-module.zip). This zip file contains a file called "wyld-t-fftp.mod" which you need to put into the folder: / Fantasy Grounds Data / modules /

With the mod file in there, you can - inside the Fantasy Grounds Application - click on the Tokens icon to display the Tokens window, then click on the Modules button at the bottom of that window. Then in the Window that pops up (the Token Module activation Window), you should see the "Fantasy Furniture Tokens" module, which will have options to load the module into your current campaign.

Sadly, most of the pieces don't have an top down view, so they are useless to me at this point for the battlemaps I use.

Without a top-down for all of them this set is a non-starter for me. If they want to throw in different views give us ones with the items laying on the ground as if toppled over on their back, sides and front. That would be useful.

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.

Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
